Considering the acute need of the hostel facilities for the working ladies, in this fastest growing city, the management decided to come to their help by constructing a suitable hostel in our campus. With this view the management ventured to construct a working womens’ hostel at the estimated cost Rs. 45 Lakhs providing all the facilities like ‘Child care center’ Indoor games etc., with financial assistance from Central Govt. Dept. of Human Resources (Women & Child Devp. Dept.) to the tune of Rs. 22,39,500/- (Rs. Twenty Two Lakhs, Thirty Nine Thousand, and Five Hundred only) and State Govt. Assistance of Rs. 3,73,000/- (Rs. Three Lakhs Seventy Three Thousand Only).
The beautiful hostel was opened by Honble Shri. S. R. Bommai, Ex-Central Minister of HRD., on 12-12-2000 during the “GOLDEN JUBLEE” of our D.Ed.
